Self-reacting forms for tunnel

The self-reacting forms for tunnel are composed of one or more steel form sections which do not require external anchorages. The force of fresh concrete is borne by special transversal articulated structures without transmitting reactions to the casts, nor to the section of excavation. For their displacements, portal-type travelers sliding on rails can be used or, alternatively, tyred portal-type travelers. This hi-tech solution is labour saving and provides a high concreting rate with reduced deformation.

The steel form elements are cut at Bani Tarh Taban workshops with CNC automatic machines, are assembled in special jigs and welded, so as to comply with tight tolerances in the lining cast in situ. The construction details as well as the accessories, of which the forms are equipped, are of high importance. In fact, thank to sturdiness and innovative functional solutions, they make the use of the forms easier, reduce the labour and do not require any special equipment for their maintenance.

These forms are presently working into the tunnels of the main High-Speed railway lines of the integrated European project and have always constituted the hi-tech of the tunnel lining with modern solutions.
